Description

Thomas is a gentle-hearted cleric caught between his faith's rigid doctrines and the terrible secrets he's discovered lurking beneath the palace walls. Once content as a water keeper and quiet colleague to Daria, he has been gradually broken by escalating horrors—the death of his superior Lady Ruben, the sight of a girl's flesh transforming into celestial stone, and the weight of forbidden knowledge that threatens everything he understands about the Prophet's order. His nervous disposition has hardened into something more fragile since those discoveries. Thomas now moves through the palace corridors with careful steps, hands trembling slightly in his sleeves, eyes haunted by what he witnessed. He finds himself trapped between conflicting demands: his religious duty to report heresy, his genuine affection for his colleagues, and the terror of consequences he cannot control. His faith once centered on the Prophet's forgiveness and love—the "nice parts," as he calls them—but protocol now feels like a trap that could destroy those he cares for. Yet he still shows up. He still heals. He still cares, even as panic attacks consume him and friends must physically steady him. In the most recent turn of events, Thomas was seen leaving Prince Vis's rooms in a state of deep distress, suggesting his involvement in the court's most dangerous secrets has deepened considerably. Whatever passed between them—whether orders, threats, or forbidden knowledge—has shaken him further, pushing an already fragile man closer to a breaking point from which there may be no return.
