Children of the Sun

Description

The Children of the Sun are a heretical cult responsible for burning Raven's Rest and murdering Calum's family. Led by the massive dragonborn Trophis, they put noble houses to the torch supposedly in pursuit of power that certain bloodlines possess. Vixia once belonged to this cult but left it, eventually handing control to Lady Ruben before her death. The cult's religious doctrine justifies their violence as necessary to claim or destroy dangerous powers, though Vixia believes Trophis was manipulated into attacking House Cadir by someone higher up. The Children of the Sun represent one of the heathen organizations that the Inquisition should have stopped but instead allowed to operate, revealing the deep corruption within the QueenDom's institutions. Trophis remains at large, still interested in Calum and the power he believes the young lord possesses.
